A Honey Cake recipe

250g honey

100g butter

1 egg

200g sugar


1 soup spoon of cocoa

500g flour

baking soda

1/2 cup of milk


Melt butter, together with the honey. Mix egg with sugar, cocoa and generous amount of cinnamon. Add the butter and honey. Mix flour with baking soda, then alternately add the flour mix and the milk to the rest of the batter. Put in baking pan or spread on baking tray (preferably with baking paper). Bake at about 170° (that’s Celsius) for 30 min.

If you want, pour sugar icing on (needs to be done when cake still hot) or chocolate icing (wait till cake is cooled). Cut into square pieces. Enjoy!
